We have some impressive employees in our ranks: from basketball players to marathon runners, from gamers to authors. The Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight the talented individuals who work here.
For this month’s Employee Spotlight, we’re featuring Kevin Gosney, Senior Outsource Systems Engineer here at CYBRID.
What do you do at CYBRID?
I’m a Senior Outsource Systems Engineer, which involves being a senior escalation point for 1st level team and a technical lead for projects.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
I have over 17 years of experience in IT now working within a Fortune 500 company for 13 years.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The team is great, but also every day is different, there are just so many different challenges.
What’s been your proudest moment at CYBRID?
Stabilizing and transforming businesses. There have been many projects recently where the storage and general setup needed to be reviewed and brought under control. All without any impact to the customer.

Being a lead engineer as part of a large scale user migration which allowed me to travel the globe across all regions – the US, EMEA and Australia.
What’s something new you’ve learned in the past week?
The difference between jelly and jam is that jelly is made with fruit juice, and jam is made with mashed fruit.
What are your top three books/podcasts?
All About Android, which is a podcast I have listened to for many years. Another Podcast and always a favourite is Darknet Diaries. Finally, I am currently reading a book called Atomic Habits
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I am a big fan of photography. In the last 5 years, I have really got into landscape photography and find it a nice escape from being in front of the computer. It also goes well with walking/hiking which I really enjoy.
